Risso’s dolphins are among the least studied and most elusive dolphin species inhabiting our seas.

They are the largest dolphin species found in Greek waters and the only one known to exhibit migratory behavior. They travel continuously in small groups of 3–20 individuals, covering vast distances across the open sea.

They are also remarkable divers, capable of reaching depths of up to 300 meters and remaining underwater for more than 30 minutes.
