Description
Oblong, compressed body, large head with a convex upper profile, and a reddish coloration without stripes or bars. Snout at least twice as long as the eye diameter. 12 dorsal spines and 10-11 soft dorsal rays, and 3 anal spines with 8-9 soft anal rays. Looks like: Pagrus pagrus (Common seabream): is often considered similar in appearance to P. erythrinus, although it generally grows larger
