During 2015, Hellenic Seaways with its help allowed:
A) Transferring our research volunteers between Piraeus, Samos, Lesvos, Chios and Ikaria to implement several important research efforts, such as the installation of the Climate Change Monitoring Station-Tropical Signals off Makronissos islet.
B) The safe transport of 22 injured wild animals (sea turtles, birds etc.), in need of specialized medical care in wildlife hospitals in Athens, and / or their return and release into the wild after rehabilitation.
C) The transport of humanitarian aid donations offered by citizen initiatives in Athens which were then distributed to refugees on Samos and Agathonisi. All of us at Archipelagos, we want to thank Hellenic Seaways for the significant assistance the are providing to our efforts to protect the unique natural wealth of our seas and islands, as well as help for those in need.
