The Aegean’s rare ecosystems and unique species, as revealed through ongoing and targeted scientific research, are of global interest — especially those that still survive in the deepest waters. It is extremely important to make them known to the general public and to recognize our joint responsibility to protect them. But what is more urgent than ever is to implement, without further delay, immediately applicable and effective solutions to their substantially protection — before it is too late.
